A Little About Me

• Half British, half German I struggle to write in the former and know little of the language of the latter.

• Favorite quote : "You are taller than you think." Louis Jestin Priest of St. Corentin's Cathedral, Quimper, France.

• I value least money.

• I value most the care and love of people around me.

• I love the smells of vanilla and Tibetan incense.

• My favorite words are amanuensis and serendipity.

• I once tried to remove the top from an ink bottle with a set of pliers, cutting my finger deeply and staining my hand violet for a month.

• I've had an assortment of cameras in my hands since I was 7 : one day I'll learn how to use one.

• I was once described by Professor Jimmy Edwards as “looking foreign”.

• Too much tonsillitis at an early age left me with a love of ice cream and weakness at maths.

• I'll nearly always order créme brulee as a pudding.

• I studied Tibetan Buddhism for 3 years.

• I was married once.

• I started this to share with one person, now that they rarely read it it's become more special to me.

• I hate injections so much that my dentist refuses to give me anesthetic.

• I once played jazz in a dis-used hospital as Liz Hurley danced for me.

• I love the sea and one day want to live next to it.

• The last fight I had was on a London tube train prising off a girl who was beating up another for looking at her.

• I spend too much time in museums.

• I still have my teddy bear.

• At the age of four I refused to wear a dress despite the fact I was told I was the same size as a distant cousin so it made sense to see if it fitted.

• I give too freely of my time, my heart and latterly, my money.

• A house I lived in is featured in an Inspector Morse episode.

• My favourite cities are New York and Barcelona.

• The best use I have put my money to is sponsoring two Tibetan children in India.

• I own a large collection of cookery books and use them regularily.

• I once tried to learn the sitar and studied Indian classical music.

• In the summer I live outdoors, eating cooking and spending time in my garden.
